Drug Delivery System
Excell™
ExCell polymers are capable of forming micelles, very small particles (<100nm) that evade the immune system. ExCell can be used to improve the pharmaceutical performance of injectable drugs that are difficult to dissolve, or do not last long enough in the body. ExCell can also be used to increase the therapeutic index of encapsulated entities.

ExCell can be customized to create new versions of drugs that require a number of hospital visits for injection by providing a sustained release formulation. ExCell is optically clear and may be used for eye drops; it can also be used in topical sprays and lotions.

ExCell can be used to incorporate chemical entities either by physical or chemical means.

ExCell polymers are biocompatible and biodegradable. A 7 day acute toxicity study conducted under GLP has shown that ExCell is safe when administered at 1000mg/kg by intravenous or subcutaneous injection in rats.

PolyGel™
PolyGel uses a variation of our polymers to create thermosensitive gels which are liquid at room temperature and form a thick gel at body temperature. This remarkable property makes it possible to apply medication as an eye-drop, lotion, spray, or by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.
Active therapeutic compounds are incorporated into a customized gel matrix for sustained release. PolyGel polymers are biocompatible and biodegradable.
